The best advice for me, could be the worst for you.
Need some help with your wallet? I can’t guarantee I can help you fund your assets but I can give you some help with what has (or hasn’t) worked for me and how you can make some extra or save a little money.
The month of October. When leaves are falling, pumpkin lattes are consumed, UGG Boots make their way out of the closet, cold air is crisp, and the NFL turns pink. Most Americans watching football know it’s the standard that NFL players, coaches, and officials don those pink accessories, hats, and more during October. What most Americans don’t know is the truth behind the pink month in the NFL.
Know The Truth of Pink October in the NFL
Anyone that knows me, knows that I’m not one to ever bash or degrade good-willed movements and campaigns. In fact, I will be your biggest cheerleader. But I think the truth behind the pink should be made aware to more people who think that the NFL is leading a good cause to fight breast cancer but in reality is just putting on a good campaign for more profits from more exposure in the long run. We’ve all had those days, when the hours become longer than your child’s ballet recital. Whether it’s when you drag your butt in from a long weekend on a Monday or you are anxiously waiting for that 5pm bell on a Friday afternoon. While I can’t help you shorten your time (I am still waiting for a time machine to be built), I can give you some life hacks that can help you be a bit more productive during the day, that can help time fly by.
It always seems that when you keep yourself busy and productive during the day, the time goes by quicker and your closing time comes faster than you thought. So setting yourself up for a productive work station can help you get into the zone and get shit done. Read More
Today, my guest post on My Worst Advice is all about getting a job! I say this because as a recent graduate, and having landed myself somehow in two jobs, I have a thing or two to share about this! Please note before I begin my tale that I am not licensed to give any advice. I’m not a therapist, nor a professional job helper-getter. I am simply a 24 year old who has gotten herself two jobs. So, brace yourself kids because here we go!
Here’s my worst advice for finding a job:
• If you’re about to graduate college, start looking for jobs early! Chances are there won’t be a ton available, but it never hurts to make some phone calls and meet some faces. If you’re graduating in May, and you start looking for jobs in March, you may find that jobs are scarcer than wine after I go to Target! I give you this nugget from experience. I didn’t have a big person job after graduating college, I was a nanny for a couple months after graduation. This is okay as well, because a job is better than no job! Looking back, I wish I had started looking earlier. Do as I say, not as I do, children! Read More
A police officer found a perfect hiding place for watching for speeding motorists.
One day, the officer was amazed when everyone was under the speed limit, so he investigated and found the problem.
A 10 year old boy was standing on the side of the road with a huge hand-painted sign that said “RADAR TRAP AHEAD.”
A little more investigative work led the officer to the boy’s accomplice. He found another boy about 100 yards beyond the radar trap holding up a sign reading “TIPS,” with a bucket at his feet full of change!
Just goes to show you can always make a bad situation better with some business ideas in mind.
Debt sucks and it sucks you in. Don’t let it overwhelm you. Instead get even and take your sweet ass time to get your shit together and conquer it. Show debt that you’re the boss. Sometimes it only take one small step at a time.
